The Detroit Lions have re-signed DB Charles Washington to the practice squad and waived WR Jay Lee from the unit, according to Michael Rothstein.
The Lions’ practice squad now consists of:
- WR Jace Billingsley
- CB Alex Carter
- WR TJ Jones
- CB D’Joun Smith
- QB Jake Rudock
- G Brandon Thomas
- DB Charles Washington
- LB Zavier Gooden
- RB Mike James
- OT Brian Mihalik
Lee, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Lions as an undrafted free agent out of Baylor back in May. He was unfortunately among the Lions’ final roster cuts coming out of the preseason.
The Lions re-signed him to their practice squad last week.
During his college career at Baylor, Lee caught 101 passes for 1,700 yards receiving (16.8 YPR) to go along with 15 touchdowns.
