NFC Notes: Buccaneers, Eagles, Redskins

Buccaneers

Buccaneers WR DeSean Jackson tells TMZ Sports that he has yet to speak with new HC Bruce Arians, who has said he’s hoping to convince Jackson to remain in Tampa Bay.

Jackson said “we’ll see” when asked if there was a way to work things out with the Buccaneers.

“That’s what I got an agent for, bro,” Jackson said. “I don’t know, I just go play. That’s all I worry about.

Eagles

  • Matt Miller says one theory going around at the NFLPA practices this week is the Eagles trading QB Nick Foles to the Jaguars now that they’ve hired John DeFilippo as their new offensive coordinator.
  • According to Miller, many have theorized that if the Eagles are looking for a second-round pick for Foles, the Jaguars should jump at the opportunity.

Redskins

  • Michael Lombardi says that the Redskins’ decision to stick with Greg Manusky as their defensive coordinator comes down to the fact that they were unable to get anyone to replace him. Lombardi adds that “D.C. is not a destination spot for most coaches.”
  • Reports from Thursday said the Redskins plan to stick with Manusky as their defensive coordinator, despite reaching out to a few defensive coaches in recent weeks.
