NFL Notes: Bills, Cowboys, & Giants

Bills

Bills WR Percy Harvin says he expects to be more than “just a gadget guy” in Buffalo this season.

“Aside from the first two years I got in the league, I’ve been just a gadget guy,” said Harvin, via BuffaloBills.com. “I’ve been dying to just sit down with that one coach who will tell me what I’m doing wrong and what I need to do.

According to Harvin, Bills WRs coach Sanjay Lal played a big role in him signing with Buffalo a few months ago.

“I fell in love with Sanjay (Lal) as a coach,” Harvin continued. “His ability to get me to process things so quickly … going into the second or third game, I felt like I had been playing outside for years … That was all a part of my big decision to come here.

Cowboys

  • Mike Fisher reports that Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, QB Tony Romo, and WR Dez Bryant will help to pitch NBA free agents DeAndre Jordan and LaMarcus Aldridge to sign with the Dallas Mavericks.

Giants

Giants defensive line coach Robert Nunn said that he expects second-year DL Johnathan Hankins to surprise people in 2015 based on his interior pass-rushing ability.

“He really surprised a lot of people with his pass rush,” said Nunn, via Giants.com. “Everybody thought that he was a run stopper coming out but those sacks were legit. He had some legit numbers and a lot of quarterback hits and pressures, came up big in some key situations and I really like where Hank is.

“He has got to continue to improve with technique. That is where his big improvement has got to be going into training camp but I think that it is a very good situation. He has got a chance to be a solid player for a very long time in this league.
