ESPN’s John Clayton has confirmed that Trent Baalke will be the San Francisco 49ers next GM after he beat out the NFL Networks Mike Lombardi for the job.
Jason La Canfora reports that a team source has indicated that Baalke intends on having the 49ers next coach in place by the end of the week. La Canfora also mentions that the 49ers are still targeting Jim Harbaugh.
Once the 49ers get a coach in place they can turn their attention to finding the teams next quarterback.
