Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette writes that Hines Ward has stated that he has no intention of retiring following this season.
Last season Ward said that he would retire if he got a third super bowl ring. Despite this statement, Ward doesn’t appear to be ready to call it quits just yet. There was a dip in Ward’s production this season and at the age of 34 it’s hard to see him being as productive in the coming years. The good news for Pittsburgh is that they have a good group of young receivers that should be able to step up in the coming years.
