OTs Luke Joeckel, Eric Fisher & Lane Johnson In “High Demand”

According to the National Football Post, the buzz circulating around league circles is that the top three offensive tackle prospects in this year’s draft class are in “high demand.

Luke Joeckel of Texas A&M and Eric Fisher of Central Michigan appear to be unlikely to make it past the top five picks, which means the Chargers and Dolphins could be on the outside looking in regards to addressing one of their major needs in the first round.

NFP adds that it wouldn’t be surprising to see someone trade up for one of the three tackles.

It’s unlikely that Oklahoma’s Lane Johnson will make it past the Cardinals at No. 7 overall, which means the Browns could actually be in a position to trade out of the six-spot and possibly secure a second-round pick in the process.

Miami has multiple picks in the second and third rounds, so it makes sense that they would at least consider the idea of moving up to secure a solid young offensive tackle who could replace Jake Long.
