The Packers have surprisingly signed a free agent on Monday. Green Bay has signed DE Ray Drew to a contract, according to the NFL Transactions release.
Drew, 23, originally signed on with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Georgia back in May of last year. He was among their early roster cuts, but later signed on to the Browns’ practice squad in October.
Cleveland elected to cut him loose less than a month later.
Drew has yet to appear in an NFL game.
During his four-year college career, Drew recorded 113 tackles, 13 tackles for a loss, 7.5 sacks, a force fumble, a recovery and three pass defenses.
