The New England Patriots signed rookie DB Justin Coleman to a contract on Friday, according to the NFL transactions release.
The Pats brought in a number of players for workouts on Friday including: WR Marquez Clark, RB Joe Don Duncan, FB Joey Iosefa, DE Derrick Lott, DE Lawrence Okoye, WR Nathan Palmer, DT Jimmy Staten and QB Jeff Tuel.
Coleman, 22, wound up signing on with the Vikings as an undrafted out of Tennessee a few months ago. However, he was unfortunately placed on waivers less than a week ago.
During his four years at Tennessee, Coleman recorded 157 tackles, 8.5 tackels for a loss, five interceptions, and 17 pass defenses.
