Patriots Signing WR Corey Coleman

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Patriots are signing former Browns first-round WR Corey Coleman to a one-year contract on Tuesday.

The Patriots brought Coleman in for a workout on Monday and he was reportedly scheduled to meet with the Eagles. However, it looks like the Patriots were able to get a deal done.

Coleman, 24, is a former first-round pick of the Browns back in 2016. He was in the third year of his four-year, $11.654 million contract and set to make base salaries of $1.5 million and $2 million over the next two years of the agreement when he was traded to the Bills for a 2020 seventh-round pick.

Unfortunately, the Bills elected to waive him coming out of the preseason.

In 2017, Coleman appeared in nine games and caught 23 passes for 305 yards receiving and nine touchdowns. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 83 receiver out of 116 qualifying players.

We had him featured in our Top 50 Available 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
