Raiders Fire Director Of Player Personnel Joey Clinkscales

Jim Trotter of NFL Media reports that the Raiders have fired Director of Player Personnel Joey Clinkscales on Wednesday.

The Raiders are clearly moving on from Reggie McKenzie’s front office now that they’ve brought in Mike Mayock as their new GM, so this move doesn’t come as a big surprise.

Clinkscales, 54, is a former draft pick Steelers back in 1987. He played two seasons for the Steelers and Buccaneers.

Clinkscales was a part-time scout in the early 1990s before the Jets hired him as a full-time scout. He was eventually promoted Director of College Scouting in 2006 and was named VO of  College Scouting two years later.

Clinkscales was hired by the Raiders in 2012 as their Director of Player Personnel.
