The Oakland Raiders placed WR Walter Powell on waivers Tuesday, according to the NFL transactions release.
- The Raiders also signed DE Shelby Harris to their practice squad.
Powell, 23, is a former sixth-round pick of the Cardinals back in May of last year. He was unable to make the team’s 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but he wound up being claimed off of waivers by the Jets.
Powell was among the Jets’ final roster cuts. However, he was later added to their practice squad at the start of the season before he joined the Bills a few weeks back.
The Raiders wound up signing him off of their practice squad.
In 2014, Powell appeared in four games and totaled 233 kick return yards and 48 punt return yards for the Jets.
