Rams Signing WR Brandon Shippen To Practice Squad

According to Adam Caplan, the Rams are signing WR Brandon Shippen to their practice squad.

The Rams practice squad now consists of:

  1. OL Isaiah Battle
  2. RB Aaron Green
  3. WR Paul McRoberts
  4. TE Bryce Williams
  5. DE Lenny Jones
  6. DB Jerome Couplin
  7. LB Cassanova McKinzy
  8. LB Reggie Northrup
  9. CB Kevin Peterson
  10. WR Brandon Shippen

Los Angeles worked Shippen out on Tuesday, so they were impressed enough to sign him to a contract.

Shippen, 22, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Temple back in May. Unfortunately, the Dolphins elected to cut him loose during the final week of the preseason and he hasn’t signed on to a practice squad since the season started.

During his college career, Shippen caught 32 passes for 453 yards receiving and two touchdowns over the course of 28 games. He also contributed 48 yards rushing on eight carries.
