The Los Angeles Rams officially placed DB Marcus Sayles on waivers Thursday.
Sayles, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Bills as an undrafted free agent out of West Georgia back in May of last year. He was set to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract when the Bills cut him loose coming out of the preseason.
The Bills later signed him to their practice squad, only to cut him loose a few days later. The Rams eventually added him to their taxi squad and he finished out the year in Los Angeles.
During the preseason, Sayles appeared in all four games and recorded three tackles and a pass defense for the Bills.
