Redskins DE Jason Hatcher To Undergo Surgery, Expected To Miss 4-6 Weeks

Redskins DL Jason Hatcher told reporters on Wednesday that he will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his knee and is expected to require 4-6 weeks to fully recover.

Hatcher specifically mentioned that the procedure to “clean up” his knee and doesn’t believe it’s anything serious.

While I’m sure that this isn’t a major concern, it is a little unsettling given that Washington signed him to a four-year, $27.5 million contract back in March after he produced a breakout season at the age of 31.

Hatcher, 32, was a really one of the few bright spots for a Cowboys defense that needed players up front. He recorded 41 tackles, 11 sacks, and two forced fumbles, which led to him being selected to the first Pro Bowl of his career.

Hopefully, Hatcher will be back in a month and can focus on helping a Redskins’ defensive line that could use his interior pressure.
