The Jets hosted Henderson for a visit a few weeks ago, and he reportedly had interest from the 49ers as well.
Henderson was suspended four games of the 2014 season and never caught on with a team after serving the four-game ban.
According to Costello, Henderson has been working to turn things around since he was released by the Vikings.
Henderson, 27, last appeared in an NFL game during the 2013 season while playing for the Vikings. He recorded 112 tackles, four sacks, two interceptions and a forced fumble over the course of 14 games for Minnesota.
Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 19 inside linebacker out of 55 qualifying players in 2013.
