ESPN’s Adam Caplan (via Adam Schefter) is reporting that Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch will end his holdout and report to training camp in the next 24 hours.

  • Schefter adds that Lynch will not receive a new contract from Seattle, but the team is expected to add some concessions to his current contract.

Schefter reported on Tuesday that Lynch had already triggered $455,000 in fines by holding out of training camp.

The Seahawks had maintained that they had no intention of renegotiating Lynch’s contract to include a salary boost.

Seattle is already paying Lynch a top-five salary in terms of APY ($7.5 million) and guaranteed ($17 million) money, and have given no indication that they are willing to rework his current deal to appease his salary demands.

Last year, Lynch appeared in all 16 games and ran for 1,257 yards on 301 carries (4.2 YPC) and scored 14 total touchdowns.

  1. Unfortunately, this is how all great teams implode. The players are think their the reason for the success and want to get “paid”. Well, they can’t all get “paid” and end up getting traded and the team goes back to mediocrity. I guess winning rings isn’t enough.

  2. It’s going to be hard for “Beast Mode” to get a new deal with his running style and the others they have to pay soon mainly Russell Wilson
