Darren McFadden Re-Signs With Raiders

Update:

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Raiders have signed RB Darren McFadden to a one-year, $4 million contract.

Fallon Smith of CSNBayArea.com reports that it looks like RB Darren McFadden will sign the Raiders’ one-year offer and return to Oakland next year.

The running back market has been limited thus far, so it makes sense that McFadden would take one-year deal and try to improve his stock next year.

McFadden has had a number of disappointing seasons with the Raiders, which can be attributed the number of injuries he’s dealt with during this time. McFadden’s most productive stretch came under Jackson, during which he ran for 1,771 yards (5.27 YPC) and 11 touchdowns over the course of 20 games.

McFadden has missed 29 games since entering the NFL six years ago. On top of that, his yards-per-carry have dropped off considerably in the Raiders new offensive scheme, so it will be interesting to see what kind of contract he signs in the coming weeks.

We have him listed as the No. 82 player in our Top 100 Free Agents list.

Fallon Smith of CSNBayArea.com, citing a league source, reports that the Raiders have a one-year offer on the table for RB Darren McFadden

  • ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Monday night that McFadden has generated “significant interest” in recent days.

The running back market is reportedly been sluggish in recent days, so this report is definitely interesting, especially when you consider McFadden’s recent struggles and injury history.
