Seahawks Sign CB Cary Williams To A Three-Year, $18M Deal

Aaron Wilson reports that the former Eagles CB Cary Williams will be signing with the Seahawks.

  • According to Wilson, Williams receives a three-year contract worth $18 million that includes base salaries of $7 million (2015), $5 million (2016) and $6 million (2017).

Williams reportedly had contract offers from the Ravens, Jets, and Titans, but it appeared as though he could be headed to Seattle barring a large offer from one of the other teams.

Earlier in the day, the Seahawks signed veteran CB Will Blackmon, so they are clearly looking to bolster their depth heading into offseason workouts.

Williams, 30, appeared in all 16 games for the Eagles and recorded 60 tackles, two interceptions and 10 pass defenses last year. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 49 cornerback in the league out of 108 qualifying players.
