Saints Signing Veteran DT Jay Bromley

Joel A. Erickson is reporting that the Saints are signing veteran DT Jay Bromley to a contract following a successful tryout this past weekend.

Bromley tried out for the Jets this offseason but had a pretty limited market overall, despite being one of the best available interior defensive linemen.

Bromley, 25, is a former third-round pick of the Giants back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $3,003,876 rookie contract and is not testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his NFL career.

In 2017, Bromley appeared in all 16 games for the Giants and recorded 21 tackles, one sack and a pass defense.

We had him featured in our Top 50 Available 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
