Seahawks Trade WR Kevin Norwood To Panthers For 2017 Draft Pick

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that the Seahawks are trading former fourth-round pick WR Kevin Norwood to the Panthers.

  • Adam Caplan reports that the Seahawks will receive a 2017 draft pick in return for Norwood.

Caplan mentioned earlier in the day that the Seahawks had not released Norwood, despite a previous report, and there was a chance he could instead be traded.

The Panthers could, obviously, use some additional help at receiver after they lost Kelvin Benjamin for the season.

Norwood, 25, is entering the second year of his four-year, $2,640,108 rookie contract that included a $420,108 signing bonus. He stands to make base salaries of $510,000, $600,000, and $690,000 over the final three years of the agreement.

In 2014, Norwood appeared in nine games for the Seahawks and caught nine passes for 102 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
