The Pittsburgh Steelers are hosting free agent S Michael Thomas for a visit on Monday, according to Alain Poupart.
This is the first reported interest in Thomas since the free agent market officially opened.
Thomas, 28, originally signed on with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent out of Stanford back in 2012. He bounced on and off the 49ers’ practice squad before the Dolphins signed him off their practice squad back in 2013.
Miami later signed him to two consecutive one-year exclusive rights deals and brought him back on a one-year restricted contract worth $1.797 million for the 2017 season.
In 2017, Thomas appeared in 13 games for the Dolphins and recorded 26 tackles, no interceptions and a pass defense. According to Pro Football Focus, Thomas played a total of 153 snaps last year.
