Steelers Sign LB Keith Kelsey To Practice Squad, Place LB Matt Galambos On Injured List

The Pittsburgh Steelers officially placed LB Matt Galambos on the practice squad injured list and signed LB Keith Kelsey to the unit on Thursday.

The Steelers’ practice squad now consists of:

  4. WR Marcus Tucker
  5. S Jacob Hagen
  6. DE Lavon Hooks
  7. LB Farrington Huguenin

  9. LB Matt Galambos (Injured)
  10. WR Justin Thomas
  11. LB Keith Kelsey

Kelsey, 22, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of Louisville back in May. He was set to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract when the Steelers cut him loose coming out of the preseason.

During his college career at Louisville, Kelsey recorded 308 tackles, 23 tackles for a loss, 10 tackles, three forced fumbles, three recoveries and 10 pass defenses over the course of 49 games.
