Ian Rapoport reports that the Steelers are signing veteran OLB James Harrison to a contract in the next few days.

Harrison posted a video on his Instagram account that hinted at a possible return to the Pittsburgh Steelers. In the video description, Harrison writes “I’ll give it one more year!

The Steelers got hit hard by injuries during Sunday night’s win over the Panthers as they lost OLB Jarvis Jones and rookie LB Ryan Shazier for a number of weeks. Bringing Harrison back makes plenty of sense given the number of years he played in Pittsburgh.

Harrison, 36, announced his retirement from the NFL close to a month ago after he worked out for the Arizona Cardinals, but it appears he was just waiting for the right opportunity.

He was deemed expendable by Cincinnati after playing the first year of a two-year deal, registering 31 tackles, two sacks, one interception and a fumble recovery over the course of 15 games. Last year, Harrison graded out as the No. 9 outside linebacker in 4-3 scheme last year, according to Pro Football Focus.
