Report: Ted Ginn Jr Visiting With The Cardinals Thursday

Update:

Peters Schrager reports that Panthers free agent WR Ted Ginn Jr. is visiting with the Cardinals on Thursday.

  • Cardinals GM Steve Keim has already confirmed the meeting to Nick Kostos.

The Giants and Buccaneers have already shown interest in Ginn, so he has a decent enough market right now as teams begin to target receivers after the initial free agent rush.

Ginn, 28, signed a one-year contract with Carolina last year and managed to produce a breakout season in 2013. He totaled 36 receptions for 556 yard receiving to go along with five touchdowns. He has also been an effective kick returner for a number of years now.

We have him listed as the No. 97 player in our Top 100 Free Agents list.

Jordan Raanan of NJ.com reports that the New York Giants have “turned their attention” to Panthers free agent WR Ted Ginn Jr after losing out to the Ravens for Jacoby Jones.

  • The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced that Ginn visited with them on Wednesday.

The Giants appear to have their sites set on a receiver who can also contribute as a kick returner.

Ginn joins Devin Hester as the top-two kick returns available in this year’s free agent market.
