Here’s a running list of rumors related to the Titans head coaching search.

  • Ian Rapoport reports that the Titans and Ken Whisenhunt have mutual interest as he’s a former Vanderbilt coach.
    • Rapoport adds that Whisenhunt is comfortable with the team’s front office and the city of Nashville.
    • Chris McCosky mentions that the Whisenhunt’s reported interest in the Titans job “smells of leverage plays by agents.

  • Jim Wyatt is “hearing” that the Titans are “very interested” in Chargers OC Ken Whisenhunt.
    • According to Wyatt, the Titans question marks at quarterback could impact their chances of landing Whisenhunt as their next head coach.
    • Wyatt adds that the Titans also have interest in Seahawks DC Dan Quinn as well, but won’t be able to interview him until February.
  • Jay Glazer reports that Seahawks DC Dan Quinn will interview with the Titans next week.

    • Rapoport adds that other candidates include: Ravens OC Jim Caldwell, Chargers OC Ken Whisenhunt, Bengals DC Mike Zimmer and Seahawks OC Darrell Bevell.
  • ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Chargers OC Ken Whisenhunt is scheduled to interview with the Titans Friday.

  • Jim Wyatt reports that Bengals DC Mike Zimmer will be the next candidate for interview for the Titans’ job. (Update: 3:30 pm)
    • Wyatt adds that Ravens OC Jim Caldwell will finish is interview with the team in the next two hours. (Update: 3:30 pm)

  • The Titans announced on Tuesday that they have completed their interview with Bengals OC Jay Gruden regarding their head-coaching vacancy. (Update: 4:47 pm)

The Browns would be smart to target Whisenhunt but they are the Browns, if they were smart they would have kept Chudzinski, he was a good coach, they traded Trent Richardson and had NOBODY at quarterback. I am not a huge Lovie Smith fan but I think he was a good hire for Tampa Bay and bringing Leslie Frazier there is a good move. If the Bucs can trade up and get Jadevon Clowney he could be a beast under Frazier and Smith.
