Vikings Place TE Blake Bell On Injured Reserve, Promote TE Kyle Carter

The Minnesota Vikings announced that they’ve promoted TE Kyle Carter to their active roster on Friday and placed TE Blake Bell on injured reserve.

  • The Vikings also signed S Jack Tocho to the practice squad.

The Vikings’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. DT Dylan Bradley
  2. WR Cayleb Jones
  3. DE Ifeadi Odenigbo
  4. CB Horace Richardson
  5. OT Cedrick Lang
  6. LB Antwione Williams
  7. WR Rodney Adams
  8. C Cornelius Edison
  9. OT Storm Norton
  10. S Jack Tocho

Bell, 26, is a former fifth-round pick by the 49ers in the 2015 NFL Draft. He is entering the third year of a four-year, $2.785 million rookie contract that included a $505,132 signing bonus and is set to earn a base salary of $615,000, this year.

Bell waived by the 49ers coming out of the preseason as they trimmed their roster down to the 53-man limit and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Vikings.

In 2017, Bell appeared in 13 games for the Vikings and caught three passes for 19 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
