Patriots Waive WR Chris Harper

The New England Patriots waived WR Chris Harper on Monday, according to Tom Curran.

Harper, 21, signed on with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of California back in May, just days after this year’s draft. He was able to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but was later waived and signed to their practice squad.

New England promoted him to their active roster a few weeks ago. However, Harper lost a fumble during Sunday’s game that helped the Broncos in their comeback.

It would not be surprising to see him sign to their practice squad in the coming days.

This season, Harper has appeared in three games and totaled 17 punt return yards.
