Broncos Worked Out Former Browns DT Phil Taylor

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Postย reports that the Broncos also worked out former Browns DT Phil Taylor on Tuesday.

Taylor, 27,ย was taken with the No. 21 overall pick by the Browns back in 2011, but was one of the more notable roster cuts at start of the season.

Cleveland wound upย picked up Taylor’sย fifth-year option and he was on roster first day of league year,ย which fully guaranteed his base salary ofย $5.477ย million.

Taylor was reportedlyย dealing with knee issues that led to the Browns moving on, and explains why he’s still available.

Since becoming available, Taylor has met with the Ravens, Steelers and Vikings.

In 2014, Taylor appeared in just five games and recorded 10 tackles and a pass defense for the Browns.
