Following his workout on Monday,ย Bryant said that the Colts and Ravens were his favorite interviews.
“Those teams really stuck out to me the most,” Bryant said, via NFL.com. “I had a great conversation with those guys. But wherever I get drafted or if it’s as a free agent, I just need an opportunity and I’ll make the most of it.”
Bryant also met with the Redskins, Texans, Steelers, Colts, Jaguars and 49ers on Sunday.
Bryant is one of three players eligible to selected in this year’s Supplemental Draft along with Western Michigan CB Sam Beal andย Virginia Tech CB Adonis Alexander.
It’s rare for anyone to be selected in a supplemental draft, but it sounds like Beal and Alexander both have good shots at being drafted.
The 2018 Supplemental Draft is on July 11.
The last player taken in a supplementย draft came back in 2015 when the Rams elected to use a fifth-round pick onย OT Isaiah Battle. Before that, the Browns used a second-round pick on WR Josh Gordon back in 2012.
Bryant recorded 157 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 1.5 sacks, five interceptions with one being returned for a touchdown, seven pass defenses and a forced fumble over three seasons at Mississippi State and 37 games played.
We’ll have more regarding Bryant and the supplemental draft as the news is available.
