Broncos

Broncos president Joe Ellis tells Sal Paolantonio (via Adam Schefter) that Peyton Manning and DeMarcus Ware were both choked up during a team meeting Saturday night.

“Both were very emotional and near tears,” Ellis said.

Broncos HC Gary Kubiak addressed the team first, telling them what the game meant to him.

“He told them he loved them,” Ellis said. “Peyton told a few jokes to lighten the mood, but then he got very emotional (when talking about what the game meant to him.) And so did DeMarcus. The room was silent. It was a very emotional gathering.”

Manning did not say, however, if this will be his last game.

Jets

• Rich Cimini expects the Jets to try to sign DT Damon Harrison before the start of free agency.
• However, if they’re unable to reach an agreement, Cimini believes it’s likely he’ll be playing elsewhere next season.
• Cimini projects the Jets to have around $30 million or so in cap space to work with this offseason.
• Although, franchising DE Muhammad Wilkerson and re-signing QB Ryan Fitzpatrick could cut into this figure by as much as $22-$25 million.

Redskins

• Rich Tandler of CSN Mikd Atlantic suggests Broncos impending free agents ILB Brandon Marshall, DE Malik Jackson and RB Ronnie Hillman as three players who could be targets for the Redskins this offseason.
