NFL Notes: Robert Griffin III, Cowboys, Packers, & Panthers

Robert Griffin III

• Albert Breer reports that Redskins QB Robert Griffin III passed his exit physical, which clears the way for Washington to release him in the coming weeks.
• Breer considers it a matter of “when, not if” RGIII is release, which fits with what has been reported for the better part of a year now.

Cowboys

• Charles Robinson believes Matt Forte would be a great fit for the Cowboys.

Packers

• Brad Biggs mentions that there are a number of teams who make sense for former Bears RB Matt Forte, including the Packers, whom he views as a “perfect fit” for Forte.
• Rob Demovsky of ESPN writes that while the Packers’ decision to re-sign DT Letroy Guion will make it more difficult to retain DT B.J. Raji, it’s not out of the question that Raji could be back in Green Bay.
• According to Demovsky, indications are that the Packers would entertain re-signing Raji if he’s willing to sign for similar money. However, Raji could be seeking a raise this offseason.

Panthers

• Alex Marvez reports that the Panthers will have Curtis Fuller coach their defensive backs in 2016.
