49ers CB Chris Davis was carted to the locker room during Thursday’s game against the Cardinals with a knee injury.
The 49ers have already officially ruled him out for the remainder of tonight’s game.
Davis, 25, originally signed on with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of Auburn back in 2014. He lasted just over a year in San Diego before he was placed on waivers with an injury designation and later reverted to the team’s injured reserve list.
The 49ers later signed him to their practice squad in November of last year before calling him.
Entering tonight’s game, Davis has appeared in three games and recorded two tackles and 98 kick return yards for the 49ers.
