49ers OT Mike McGlinchey Out 4-6 Weeks Following Knee Scope

The San Francisco 49ers OT Mike McGlinchey will miss the next 4-6 weeks following a knee scope, according to HC Kyle Shanahan

The 49ers will start Justin Skule at left tackle with Daniel Brunskill taking over for McGlinchey at right tackle.

This comes just a day after the 49ers lost FB Kyle Juszczyk for 4-6 weeks with an MCL sprain. San Francisco is already playing with LT Joe Staley, so their offensive depth will be tested in the coming weeks.

McGlinchey, 24, is a former first-round pick of the 49ers back in 2018. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $18,411,708 contract that included an $11,470,322 signing bonus.

The contract includes a fifth-year option for the 49ers to pick up in 2021.

In 2019, McGlinchey has appeared in four games for the 49ers and made four starts.
