San Francisco also waived DL Alex Barrett and released OL Leonard Wester, per Matt Barrows

The COVID-19 list was created this summer for a player who either tests positive for or who has been quarantined after having been in close contact with an infected person or persons.

Players will remain on the list until they are medically cleared to return.

Wilson, 24, wound up going undrafted out of North Texas back in 2018. He later signed a three-year, $1.71 million contract with the 49ers, but was waived coming out of the preseason.

Wilson has been on and off the 49ers practice squad and active roster the past few seasons, seeing spot duty as a reserve and special teamer due to injuries ahead of him on the depth chart.

In 2019, Wilson appeared in 10 games for the 49ers and rushed for 105 yards on 27 carries (3.9 YPC) and four touchdowns to go along with three receptions for 34 yards receiving and one touchdown.
