Matt Maiocco of NBC Bay Area reports that 49ers LB Mark Nzeocha intends to re-sign with San Francisco.
Nzeocha visited with the Bills on Thursday, but sounds like a return to the 49ers proved to be his best option in the end.
Nzeocha, 29, is a former seventh-round pick out of Wyoming by the Cowboys in the 2015 NFL Draft. He signed a four-year, $2,344,348 rookie contract and was set to make a base salary of $615,000 in 2017 when the Cowboys cut him loose coming out of the preseason.
Dallas later signed Nzeocha to their practice squad, but lost him to the 49ers a few weeks into the regular season. Nzeocha re-signed with the 49ers for the 2018 season.
In 2018, Nzeocha played all 16 games for the 49ers, recording 23 total tackles, one sack and one forced fumble.
