49ers Sign RB Brandon Wilds, Waive S Tyree Robinson


The San Francisco 49ers announced that they have signed RB Brandon Wilds to a one-year contract and waived S Tyree Robinson in a corresponding roster move. 

Wilds, 25, wound up signing on with the Falcons as undrafted free agent out of South Carolina back in 2016. He had brief stints with the Jets and Browns before he was waived from injured reserve with a settlement at the start of the 2017 season.

Wilds later signed on to the Jaguars’ practice squad and returned to Jacksonville this past January on a futures contract. The Jaguars waived him coming out of the preseason before re-signing him to their taxi squad.

Jacksonville promoted Wilds a few weeks later only to waive him to make room for Jamaal CharlesHe quickly signed on with the Cardinals’ practice squad and re-signed to a futures deal this offseason but was waived in May.  

In 2018, Wilds appeared in three games for the Jaguars and rushed for 15 yards on six carries (2.5 YPC) and no touchdowns.
