Bills
- WGR 550’s Sal Capaccio lists Jets WR Robby Anderson, Patriots WR Phillip Dorsett, Buccaneers WR Breshad Perriman, Bears WR Taylor Gabriel, Browns WR Rashard Higgins, Chiefs WR Demarcus Robinson and 49ers WR Emmanuel Sanders as some free-agent options for Buffalo.
- Per ESPN’s Marcel Louis-Jacques, CB Josh Norman chose the Bills over interest from three other teams because of their scheme, talent and opportunity for success.
- The Athletic’s Joe Buscaglia and Matthew Fairburn write that at $6 million, the signing of Norman does present a little bit of a risk, as if he doesn’t improve his play that’s money that could have been used elsewhere.
- However, in a new scheme and away from Washington, the two say there’s a decent chance for a career revival at the age of 32. They add Norman should be seen as the favorite to start as the No. 2 corner for now given his salary, though there will be competition.
Dolphins
- According to Joe Schad of the Palm Beach Post, the Dolphins are expected to tender restricted free agent P Matt Haack.
- The original-round tender is projected to be worth a little over $2 million.
Patriots
- According to CBS Sports Jason La Canfora, a well-connected NFL source expects QB Tom Brady to end up back with the Patriots in 2020.
- Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer writes the Patriots have been sniffing around the trade market for wide receivers and tight ends to try and improve the supporting cast for Brady or whoever is starting at quarterback in 2020.
