Le’Veon Bell
- According to Mike Freeman of B/R, “anyone who says they know details about the contract talks between the Steelers and Le’Veon Bell, outside of the Steelers and Le’Veon Bell, doesn’t. Almost no one does.”
- Freeman adds that the Steelers and Bell are keeping talks “extremely quiet” and he isn’t sure that there are any “substantial talks” happening right now.
- The two parties have a few days left to negotiate an extension before the July 16 deadline.
- We have Bell featured in our Top 25 – 2019 NFL Free Agents list.
Ravens
- Edward Lee of the Baltimore Sun expects Michael Crabtree, John Brown and Willie Snead to get plenty of reps this summer with QB Joe Flacco so they can work to develop chemistry in time for Week 1.
- According to Lee, former first-round WR Breshad Perriman needs a strong camp to secure a spot on the 53-man roster.
- Despite being fourth- and fifth-round picks respectively, Lee says that Jaleel Scott and Jordan Lasley will have to prove that they are worthy of spots on the active roster.
Steelers
- Joe Rutter of the Tribune-Review writes that Steelers veteran OL Ramon Foster could be entering his final season in Pittsburgh, as he’s in the final year of his contract and it’s possible the team could look to get younger at guard next year.
- Rutter mentions that Matt Feiler could end up being the Steelers’ top backup at multiple offensive line spots this year.
