Bills HCย Sean McDermott said there won’t be any repercussions for DE Shaq Lawson following his ejection from Sunday’s game because he feels Lawson was standing up for a teammate.
โIโveย already sat downย with Shaq, and we do things the right way, but when people stand up and challenge us, I donโt expect us to back down,โ McDermott said, via WGR 550.
Jaguars
Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette offered an apology after Sunday’s game for his ejection by tweeting:
Just want to apologize to the fans and kids out there was totally out of character was in the heat of the moment in a important game, emotions got the best of me apologize again to you all….

- Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Jaguars HC Doug Marrone is in no danger of being fired, despite a disappointing 2018 season.
Jets
- Rich Cimini of ESPN writes that if the Jets keep GM Mike Maccagnan in place and move on from HC Todd Bowles, which is expected, it remains to be seen whether Maccagnan will get the opportunity to hire the next head coach.
- Cimini points out that allowing Maccagnan to do so would essentially mean an increase in power and a likely contract extension.
- Regarding WR Robby Anderson, who has dealt with injuries and is having a disappointing 2018 season, Cimini writes that he wouldn’t be surprised to see the Jets make him available for trade next year.
