Raiders OC Greg Olson mentioned the Amari Cooper trade should benefit Martavis Bryant for the remainder the of season.

“I think it helps a player like Martavis Bryant because he’s got tremendous skills, tremendous size and speed, and he’s still really kind of learning the system,” Olson said, via The Athletic.

Texans

  • Texans CB Johnathan Joseph was seen wearing a walking boot as he left NRG Stadium last night. Joseph is specifically dealing with a high ankle sprain and an MCL sprain and could miss 2-3 weeks. (Mark Berman)
  • Ian Rapoport reports that Texans ILB Zach Cunningham is believed to have suffered a knee sprain that is not thought to be serious.
  • When asked about signing WR Dez Bryant, O’Brien said: “We explore everything, including our own team.” However, Aaron Wilson makes it clear that the Texans are not signing Bryant.
  • According to O’Brien, CB Aaron Colvin could be back after the bye, but CB Kevin Johnson won’t be ready to return from injured reserve. (Aaron Wilson)
