Colts
Regarding their Week 4 matchup against the Raiders, Colts HC Frank Reich said the team must be “wired in” for their opponent.
โWeโve got to go out, weโve got to play a good opponent,” said Reich, via George Bremer of The Herald Bulletin. “Thereโs no telling whatโll happen. I think our guys know that this is a really good team coming in here, and weโve got to be wired in.โ
As for the team’s injuries, Colts RB Marlon Mack said Reich has been preaching that this season will be a “mountain climb” for them.
โCoach Frank, since camp, (has) always (been) teaching us that itโs gonna be a mountain climb,โ said Mack. โWhen a guy goes down, we know weโre gonna miss our brother, but now itโs time for the next guy to stand up.”
Colts DC Matt Eberflus mentioned that their defense still needs to improve in “every single facet” of the game.
โI just think we need to improve the details,โ said Eberflus. โEvery single facet โ you talk about run defense, pass defense, d-line play, linebackers โ just keep improving every single week. Our guys are buying into that.”

Titans
- Jim Wyatt of the team’s official site believe the Titans’ receiving corps’ struggles has to do with QB Marcus Mariota‘s lack of time in the pocket.
- Wyatt writes that the Titans’ keys to success going forward will be their pass protection and producing more on first- and second-downs.
- Wyatt points out that the Titans are not using a lot of shotgun formations because it does not “match up” with their rushing attack and makes play-action passes more difficult.
