AFC West Notes: Matt Paradis, Broncos, Chiefs

Matt Paradis

Broncos

  • The Broncos have added Rob Calabrese and Justin Rascati as offensive quality control coaches, Nathaniel Willingham as a defensive quality control coach, and Mike Hiestand as assistant head coach and defensive quality control. (Nicki Jhabvala)
  • Ryan O’Halloran of the Denver Post believes it makes much more sense for the Broncos to trade up from the No. 10 overall pick into the top three of the 2019 NFL Draft, rather than exchanging a 2020 first-round pick to move back into the latter portion of round one.
  • O’Halloran suggests a package of picks to exchange for the 49ers’ No. 2 overall selection including the Broncos’ 2019 first-, third- and fourth-round picks, and 2020 first- and second-round picks.

Chiefs

  • Jim McBride reports that the Chiefs are signing former Patriots DL coach Brendan Daly to their coaching staff.
  • A previous report mentioned that the Chiefs were expected to hire University of Kentucky defensive coordinator Matt House as their linebackers coach. However, Kentucky announced Saturday that he’s returning as their coordinator.
