Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Alabama S Deionte Thompson is unlikely to take part in the Scouting Combine next week after undergoing surgery to repair a torn ligament in his wrist.
However, the good news for Thompson is that this isn’t considered a long-term issue.
Thompson, (6-2, 199 lb), is considered to be one of, if not, the top safety prospects in this year’s draft class. He could end up being a first-round selection when all is said done.
During his college career at Alabama, Thompson recorded 112 tackles, three interceptions, three forced fumbles, a recovery and seven pass defenses over the course of 29 games and three seasons.
