Update:
Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the 49ers have reinstatedย RTย Anthony Davisย fromย the reserve/retired list.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN,ย 49ers RTย Anthony Davis will officially report to the the team’s training camp on Saturday.
Davisย officially applied for reinstatement to the NFL earlier in the week after briefly retiring from the league last year.
49ers offensive line coachย Pat Flahertyย previously made it clear that Davisย would have to compete for a job if he were to return to the team at some point and come out of retirement.
โAnd he knows this, coming from me, if he wants to play, then heโs got to come back and prove he can play,โ Flaherty said, via CSN Bay Area. โItโs got to come from within. You can tell him exactly what I just said, โListen, youโll have an opportunity to play. But thatโs all it is. You decided for whatever reason to retire. If you come back in the game, nothing is going to be handed to you. Youโre going to have to work your tail off.โ
โAnd the conversation that Iโve had back when I first got here, was he was acceptable to that. Now, I donโt see him. I donโt know why. So I canโt answer that one.โ
Davis, 26, is a formerย first-round pick whoย still has five years remaining on his seven-year, $39.67 million contractย that includedย $17 million guaranteed. At the time of his retirement, he was set to makeย base salaries ofย $1.85 million (2015),ย $2.65 million (2016),ย $4 million (2017), andย $5.375 million (2018-2019).
In 2014, Davis was limited appearing in seven games for the 49ers due to a number of injuries including concussion, knee and hamstring issues.
