Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune updates the status of Chargers TE Antonio Gates for Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins.
“It’d be difficult,” Gates said. “But who’s to say? In a span of two or three days, I’ve seen miracles happen with my body. I’m always in the gameplan, always studying. Who knows? There is a big difference between Wednesday and Sunday.”
Despite Gates showing some optimism regarding his availability for week 4, it would still be very surprising to see him in the teams lineup on Sunday. Earlier reports had Gates sitting a few weeks in an attempt to fully recover from the nagging foot injury that he’s been dealing with. If you own Gates in your fantasy league, you’d be wise to look at other options.
