The Chicago Bears announced Monday that they’ve activated DT John Jenkins and TE Eric Saubert off the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Meanwhile, Bears S Jordan Lucas has opted out of the 2020 season.
Chicago also waived OL Dino Boyd.
Lucas is the second Bears’ player to opt-out after DT Eddie Goldman made the decision to sit out the season last week.
Jenkins, 30, is a former third-round pick of the Saints back in 2013. Jenkins spent three years in New Orleans before he was waived during the 2016 season.
From there, Jenkins played for a number of teams including the Seahawks, Giants, Dolphins and Bears. Chicago re-signed him to a one-year deal this past April.
In 2019, Jenkins appeared in all 16 games for the Dolphins and recorded 34 tackles, one sack and a pass defense.
