Bears Activate WR Marquess Wilson From Injured Reserve

The Chicago Bears announced Friday that they have activated WR Marquess Wilson from the short-term injured reserve list.

Wilson returned to practice last Wednesday and the Bears released veteran WR Santonio Holmes earlier this week, so it was clear that this move was coming at some point in the near future.

Wilson, 22, unfortunately suffered a broken collarbone close to a month ago and later underwent surgery to help him get back in a shorter period of time. Chicago was expecting big things from Wilson in 2014, but there is still time for him to put together a decent season.

The Bears need all the help they can get right now as they are coming off of back-to-back brutal losses for the Patriots and packers.

Last season, Wilson appeared in nine games, but caught just two passes for 13 yards.
