Bears Re-Sign QB Tyler Bray To P-Squad, Release OL Willie Beavers

The Chicago Bears announced Tuesday that they’ve re-signed QB Tyler Bray to their practice squad and released OL Willie Beavers from the unit.

Here’s the Bears updated practice squad:

  1. OL Dejon Allen
  2. DL Abdullah Anderson
  3. WR Tanner Gentry
  4. DB Michael Joseph
  5. RB Ryan Nall
  6. LB Josh Woods
  7. DB Jonathan Mincy
  8. DB John Franklin
  9. WR Cyril Grayson
  10. QB Tyler Bray

Bray, 26, wound up signing on with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of Tennessee back in 2015. He was entering the final year of his three-year, $1.485 million rookie contract when Bray and the Chiefs agreed to a two-year extension before the start of the 2015 season.

The Bears signed Bray to a contract this past March but waived him as they trimmed their roster down to the 53-man limit. Chicago signed him to their practice squad once he passed through waivers unclaimed and promoted him to their active roster last month.

Chicago waived Bray last week to make room for G Kyle Long, who was activated from injured reserve.

In 2017, Bray appeared in one game for the Chiefs and took a knee to end the game.
