The Chicago Bears have signed DT John Jenkins to a contract on Friday, according to his agent.

Jenkins was visiting with the Bears and reportedly had a meeting scheduled with the Colts, but it appears as though Chicago was able to close the deal and prevent him from heading to Indianapolis.
Jenkins, 27, is a former third-round pick of the Saints back in 2013. Jenkins spent three years in New Orleans before he was waived during the 2016 season. He later caught on with the Seahawks and finished out the year in Seattle.
Jenkins was testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent.
In 2016, Jenkins appeared in nine games and recorded 13 tackles and no sacks.
