Previous reports mentioned that the Panthers and 49ers both had interest in Morgan, but there really wasn’t a lot of buzz surrounding him in recent weeks.
Morgan, 28, signed a five-year contract worth $12 million and included $7.5 million guaranteed with the Redskins back in 2012, but never lived up to his contract during his time in Washington.
Last year, he appeared in 14 games and caught 20 passes for 214 yards receiving and no touchdowns. He did, however, contribute on special teams and totaled 239 kick return yards.
